IDENER is a private company, which has an extensive research experience with over 42 EU funded projects so far (8 of them as coordinator) is specialised in mathematical modelling, advanced control and artificial intelligence, and designs power electronic devices integrating advanced control. In addition, the team has experience in the coordination of large engineering projects that combines multiple disciplines. In CEOMED, they are focused on the management, communication activities and the development of a public virtual marketplace tool.

The university of Jordan was founded in 1962 and has grown to become Jordan’s largest university. In fact, it is the first university in Jordan, established in the capital city of Amman by a Royal Decree in 1962. Since its foundation, the number of UJ graduates has exceeded 200,000 around the world, and UJ’s employment reputation is 301-500 worldwide, according to QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2022. In CEOMED, they are in charge of the demonstration activities with the construction of one pilot plant in Amman. tool.

The Democritus University of Thrace was founded on July 27th 1973 and started to run in the academic year 1974-1975 in Thrace, Greece. The University is classified among the biggest Greek Universities in terms of the number of its active student population. Geographically dispersed throughout Thrace, with 8 Schools, 20 Departments and a wide variety of Postgraduate Programs, with a student population that reaches approximately 29,000 (undergraduate, graduate students and candidate PhD students) and with a research and teaching staff that exceeds 700 people. In CEOMED, they are conducting the social analysis and acceptance in markets in addition to experimental activities.

CSIC is a State Agency for scientific research and technological development, with a special legal status, its own assets and treasury, functional and managerial autonomy, full legal capacity and of unlimited duration placed in Spain. In CEOMED project, our colleagues from CSIC participated under two main groups, the “Instituto de la Grasa” in Seville and “Instituto de Edafología” in Murcia. For the project, both institutes will have the main target of characterising and evaluating the viability of the digestion step.

The Centre of Biotechnology of Sfax reorganized the National Institute of Scientific and Technical Research when it was founded on November 4, 1983. Since January 1989, CBS has been a stand-alone organization with a budget that is orderedly tied to the state budget. In Tunisia, a highly qualified group of researchers is attempting to advance and commercialize biotechnology-related projects. In CEOMED, they are in charge of the demonstration activities with the construction of one pilot plant in Sfax.

The University of Naples Federico II (UNINA) is one of the oldest universities to be founded by a head of State, while other educational institutions by and large were a product of corporate initiatives. The university placed in Italy is made up of four schools, twenty-six departments, an academic staff of more than 3,000 individuals and an administrative staff of more than 4,500. Current student enrolment is still about 100,000 total. In CEOMED project, they are in charge of the mathematical optimisation of the anaerobic digestion though modelling activities.
